Satellites, Wolf Bites

It is something like a dance, this fluttering.
Pain circling a drain,
These wings of upheaval,
The density wave
of a Fibonacci spiral.

A rabbit, a face, a symphony, a race.
A burst, a light, a death, a fright.

Light humming, a great crashing, collapsing
The cataclysmic condensing against a force expanding
Tangled webs weave thread stretched thin,
Glistening against the wall of black.
The lunar face gazing
As we reach to shrink the distance.

The weight of Atlas pushing up, up
The bruise-pain purple aching
As the ether haze gives way
Against the silent cosmic grain.

A bark, a tail wag, an orbit, a flag.
A home, a marble, a thumbprint, a static garble.

The place of the earliest dreams,
the first pass time of counting sheep.
Paint against a wall, earthly footfalls,
We send ourselves beyond our reach
